Waltham 29 is a cold-tolerant heirloom best grown as a fall crop, where a long, cool season allows it to fully mature. It develops a classic, slightly nutty flavor and produces abundant side shoots after the main head is harvested. Excellent for roasting, freezing, and extended fall harvests. Ready in 85–90 days.

    Fertilizer: Organic or conventional. Use as directed on the package for leafy greens. Use 1.5x if using an all purpose brand for heavy feeders such as tomatoes and squash.
