A host plant for the Monarch Butterfly! One of my personal favorite milkweed varieties. The white and pink flowers smell like vanilla! Bees and butterflies cannot resist the copious amount of nectar that fill up the resevoirs in the blooms starting mid summer through fall. As its name suggests, Swamp Milkweed loves moisture and can be planted near a pond or damp area of the garden. However, it also tolerates drought quite well. Hardy in zones 4-9. Grows 4 feet tall.
