Our mission is to provide educational products that teach the importance of butterflies and pollinators in our neighborhoods. We offer live insect learning tools for students and people of all ages to observe the amazing life cycle at home and within the classroom. Our Butterfly Raising Kits and Live Caterpillar Cups bring nature up close and personal and provide an unforgettable learning experience. We hope you can marvel at the beauty of these winged creatures, in all their stages of life. Our butterflies are hand raised in our Butterfly Lab to spread joy and knowledge of these fascinating insects!

About the Farm
What started as a high school Science Fair project quickly transformed into a small business supplying teachers and educators across Canada with the experience of raising butterflies. We have been supplying our Caterpillar Cups since 2014. We are proud to continue offering our products from Illinois, USA as of 2023.
Josh, our head butterfly breeder, started raising butterflies as a young child in his family's dining room. His mother encouraged this passion for animals and insects and since then Josh has raised dozens of native butterfly species in Canada and the US.
Josh runs the Butterfly Lab here are Metamorphic Farms and has pioneered many of our quality control processes and butterfly raising techniques.

Our butterflies are hand raised in our Butterfly Lab with the utmost care and quality control standards. We place cleanliness and disease-prevention as a top priority.
